“We really loved our one week stay at Sergeant House near Unawatuna in Sri Lanka in July 2012. We loved it so much – it is hard to know where to start! Well first the accommodation – there are different types of accommodation set around the central and lovely pool. We stayed in the Seaview Pavilion Suite. This suite is so large it is more like a very generous and luxurious one bedroom apartment – is in a wonderful colonial style and has everything you could possibly want – fabulous 4 poster bed, lovely lounge/ TV sitting area, splendid bathroom including a big bath and a superb balcony with views of the nearby ocean.”

Everything from the glorious gardens, stunning architechture and tasteful art to the ever smiling and accomodating staff has been steller.

Arriving at Sergeant House is like landing in Paradise! What a beautiful place!
Delicious meals, serene surroundings, beautiful accommodation, lovely pool, friendly staff and our kids loved Stewey (the dog).

This is a beautiful, idyllic place utterly relaxing and a great escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! The staff is very attentive and the food is superb. We will definitely come back here one day.

We are sad to be leaving the Sergeant House today after such a lovely stay. Obviously it’s the people who count, and everyone here has looked after us beautifully (Thank you!). We have felt very spoilt! However your “hotel” is special – a perfect gem. We loved the atmosphere and the attention to detail and art. Swimming pool wasn’t bad either! Hope to be back soon.

Our stay has been just perfect, we have had the most wonderful time and it really is all down to your all. Chef+ “the boys” very attentive and the food the most best around, we loved dinning here “yummy”. Mark you have done an amazing job.

Sri Lanka has a lot of gems, but this is the brightest among the many accommodations we have experience. The house, pool area and gardens are amazing and it has been a joy to study the art work and craftsmanship put into every detail. Add a highly competent staff and its paradise.

Thank you for a wonderful time. It’s such a lovely place. All the small details really make the place. “Sergeant House” makes it easy to relax and forget that you will eventually have to leave. Peaceful haven, beautiful setting. We have enjoyed our 4 nights in this tranquil hotel looked after by friendly staff. The food and massage treatments were excellent. The perfect place to relax after a busy days sightseeing. Thank you all the staff for such perfect memories of our Sri Lankan trip.

We stayed for 6 nights and loved everything about this place. This is like an oasis and so beautiful. The attention to detail, the service and the beautiful decor and grounds made for a very special experience.

Absolutely loved our stay here, by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in and a great place to relax after our tour of beautiful Sri Lanka. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and we especially loved Stewy the dog. The facilities were exceptional and picturesque and the massage was a wonderful treat. Thank you for the lovely breakfast – our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer.
